Who we are
Love Biology is a free biology revision platform for GCSE and A-Level students. We take your privacy seriously, especially because many of our users are under 18.
What information we collect
When you register, we collect:
- Your first name
- Your email address
- Your password (stored securely, never readable)
When you use the site, we may also store quiz attempt data (which questions you answered and your scores) so you can track your progress.
We do not collect your date of birth, school, gender, or any other information.
How we use your information
We use your information only to:
- Let you log in to your account
- Send you a verification email when you register
- Show you your quiz history and progress
- Send you a password reset email if you request one
We do not use your data for advertising, behavioural profiling, or share it with third parties.
Age requirements
This service is for users aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, please do not register. If we become aware of a user under 13, we will delete their account.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account — this permanently removes all your personal data

Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the site is used — for example, which topics are most visited and how users navigate the site. Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data and may set cookies to distinguish visitors. This data is processed by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
We do not use analytics data for advertising or behavioural profiling.
Cookies
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. Google Analytics may also set cookies to collect anonymised usage data. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
